Seguiremos monitoreando la situación del Covid-19 en nuestra área y haciendo lo posible por continuar con nuestras presentaciones y liberaciones educativas. Les pedimos nos ayuden a seguir con los protocolos y así cumplir con nuestra misión.

Campamento Tortuguero Ayotlcalli is currently open and hosting hatchling releases for small groups at 5pm most days. The following policies are in effect:

Face masks – all attendees (children and adults) must wear a face covering at all times during their visit.

Social distancing – we ask all guests to make every effort to maintain a distance of at least 2 meters (6 feet) from other guests and staff at all times.

Symptoms – if you or a member of your group is experiencing any potential symptoms of Covid-19, please do not visit the camp. This is our tenth season and we plan to be here for a long time so you can visit in the future when you’re feeling better.

We are continually monitoring the Covid-19 situation in our area and are making every effort to continue to accommodate guests for our educational hatchling release. Please follow our procedures to help us continue to operate and welcome visitors to fulfill our educational mission during these difficult times.

MARINE TURTLE RESCUE AND CONSERVATION CENTER

MISSION – Our mission is to protect and preserve the endangered native species of turtles and their habitats. We will first start by educating the community and gaining their support. We take a bold stand to protect all endangered species of turtles from extinction.

VISION – The local community, the state, and the world must be made aware of our vanishing endangered sea turtles.  Education is the key to making the community aware of the importance of our marine turtles. This is a life-long commitment that must be embraced by all if we are to make a difference in the world’s marine turtle population.  We envision a future where these amazing reptiles will nest safely on sandy areas.
